About the role

The Mobile Assessor conducts mental health assessments at contracted emergency rooms and hospitals to determine the appropriate level of care. They are responsible for crisis intervention, triaging patients, and recommending treatment facilities based on risk factors.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION Degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health or related field.
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Current license in state as a Licensed Professional Counselor (“LPC”), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (“LMFT”), Licensed Master Social Worker (“LMSW”), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (“LCSW”), or Registered Nurse (“RN”).
  • Current CPR, if required by a customer hospital. (“Customer hospital” means the hospital to which BHC is contracted to provide mobile assessment services.) Must have a valid driver’s license EXPERIENCE: Completion of appropriate internship, including the provision of individual, group or family therapy/counseling.
  • Experience providing individual, group and family therapy/counseling.
  • Mobile assessment experience preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree in Nursing or a Master's in a behavioral health field and possess a valid state license (LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW, or RN). A valid driver's license is required, and experience in providing individual, group, or family therapy is necessary.
