About the role

Provide high-quality patient care through a mix of in-person visits and telehealth, focusing on chronic disease management and preventative care. Support the organization by covering clinician absences, managing electronic inboxes, and assisting with the onboarding of new clinicians.

Where Work Life Integration Meets Outdoor Adventure in Northern Arizona Coverage Clinician — Hybrid (In‑Person + Telehealth) Elk Ridge Community Health is seeking a flexible, mission‑driven Coverage Clinician (NP/PA) for a uniquely dynamic role with no assigned patient panel.

If you thrive on variety, adaptability, and system‑wide impact, this hybrid position offers a meaningful way to support patient care across the organization while enjoying the balance of both in‑clinic and telehealth work.

Provide high‑quality patient care across North Country—via in‑person visits and telemedicine—with a focus on chronic disease management, preventative care, care transitions, and closing population‑health gaps.

Provide in-person clinic coverage to support continuing service delivery during provider absences.

Enjoy the freedom of no personal patient panel, instead supporting system needs by covering electronic inboxes and desktops for clinicians on PTO, extended leave, or who have left the organization, ensuring continuity of care and timely follow‑up for patients.

Assist during onboarding of new clinicians by managing short‑term patient needs and helping bridge care gaps while insurance enrollment and panel development are in progress.

Collaborate with care teams, case management, and support services to strengthen care coordination and connect patients efficiently to appropriate resources.

Use telehealth tools and the EHR effectively to communicate clearly, compassionately, and in culturally sensitive ways with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Contribute to organizational improvement through workflow‑enhancement projects and by meeting key performance goals, such as timely follow‑ups on care gaps and rapid response to urgent results and needs.

Benefits and Compensation: We offer a highly competitive total compensation package that features a starting base salary of $115,000 annually, complemented by an initial sign-on bonus and a location-based stipend.

Comprehensive benefits package including, providing new employees with 30 days paid time off and 9 paid holidays in their first year of employment, which continues to increase with tenure.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience A flexible and collaborative approach to supporting colleagues’ care practices. Must have National Certification Hold or be eligible to obtain an Arizona License and DEA Prefer working at an FQHC, CHC, or PCMH facility For more information, contact providerrecruitment@elkridge.org. All employees are required to undergo drug testing prior to employment and will be subject to post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty and follow up drug and alcohol testing in compliance with Federal and State regulations for alcohol and controlled substance testing. Requirements
