Embeds, cuts and stains pathology specimens under direction of a Histologist. Receives and accessions specimens. Prepares frozen sections under direct supervision of a Histologist. Maintains equipment and work areas. Supports laboratory goals by demonstrating teamwork, service excellence, adhering to established guidelines and policies and looking for ways to improve processes.
Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
