The Medical Assistant prepares patients for provider visits by collecting vital signs and medical histories while performing various point-of-care lab tests. They are also responsible for maintaining exam room cleanliness, managing supplies, and ensuring continuity of patient care through result tracking.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $23.00 hourly.

The Medical Assistant assists the providers by preparing patients to be seen by collecting and recording necessary data for health, weight, medication and allergies, performs simple lab tests such as urine dipstick, takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, performs vision testing, assists providers with simple procedures and other related duties. Position is 34 hours weekly.
Successful completion of 1 year of an accredited Nursing Degree Program (must present official transcript.)
2 years of college level health care related science courses with healthcare experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred (must provide certification or diploma/transcript).
Current CNA Certification or Adult Education Medical Assisting Certificate Program with healthcare experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred (must provide certification.)
Current National Medical Assistant Certification with 2-3 years of experience as an MA, CNA or in direct patient care, with experience within the last ten years.
Current EMT Certification.
