The Nurse Intern performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. They are responsible for patient care assignments and adhering to nursing care standards while promoting teamwork.

The Nurse Intern performs the following basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of the registered nurse.
Must maintain the flexibility necessary for rapidly changing assignments.
Performs the functions of a Nurse Intern in carrying out all assignments given by the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision.
Is accountable to the nurses for all patient care he/she gives during a shift.
Is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers.
Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 / hour depending on shift as applicable.

Certifications: Basic Life Support.
Additional
Qualifications: Actively enrolled in a nursing program (ADN or BSN), successful completion of medical surgical nursing course and clinical; Upon graduation of nursing program, must successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days. Maximum length of time in role is 15 months.
