The Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic services to assist in managing patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. They also provide technical support for equipment and participate in the education of patients, staff, and physicians.

About Corewell Health Taylor Hospital Corwell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area.
Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT w/cardiac scoring, Fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK & elastography).
Scope of work Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.
Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a valid State of Michigan license. Required certifications include the NBRC Registry and Basic Life Support from the AHA or American Red Cross.
