This position will perform dental hygienist duties to include cleaning teeth, oral health assessments, treatment plans, patient education on oral hygiene and nutrition, documenting records and assist dentist with selecting treatments.
Must be knowledgeable of dental instruments, equipment, materials and their uses; knowledge of sterilization methods, x-ray techniques, dental terminology; and dental hygiene and prophylaxis.
Ability to use dental instruments and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively and relate to public in a pleasing manner.
Computer knowledge and ability sufficient to enter patient information, as required.
Maintain confidentiality of information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Ability to use mature judgment, in the performance of duties and to establish and maintain effective working relations with associates.
Reports directly to the supervising Dentist.
Will require travel between Waycross and Folkston.
Graduate from a dental hygiene school or college that's accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and recognized by the Georgia Board of Dentistry. Active license by the Georgia Board of Dentistry.
Must be a graduate of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene school or college. An active license from the Georgia Board of Dentistry is required.
