The LPN provides professional nursing care on a designated psychiatric unit, coordinating and delegating care within a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role involves promoting professional nursing practice and may include assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

  • Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services. website: centennialpeaks.com The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.
  • The Licensed Practical Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
  • The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
  • The Licensed Practical Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.
  • You are eligible for a $10,000 - $20,000 sign-on bonus with full time employment! $10,000 for a one-year commitment, or $20,000 for a two-year commitment.
  • After that we offer $10,000 annual retention bonuses. (Bonuses are subject to supplemental wages as determined by the IRS and may be taxed at a higher rate.) New Grads welcome to apply!
  • Shift hours are three 12-hour shifts, 7pm-7:30am with alternating weekends.
  • This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr. *must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.

Qualifications

  • The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
  • Licensure and registration by the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid LPN license from the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies. Knowledge of psychiatric nursing processes, behavior management, and CPR training is required, with one year of psychiatric experience preferred.
