This position is at Pyramid Healthcare's Traditions House.

This location is a men's halfway house located in Altoona, Pa.

Shift

  • 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) and 3rd (11:00 pm - 7:00 am)
  • Pay: $15.00/hour plus shift differential Summary An essential role in the delivery of residential and outpatient treatment services. Direct care position with a primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Assists in the clinical and administrative teams to identify and serve client needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete the intake process with new clients into program
  • Maintains client documentation
  • Observe an document client self-administration of medication as applicable
  • Coordination of client activities
  • Follows objectives of treatment plans and client-specific needs
  • Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides response including crisis intervention
  • Maintains safe, clean, and orderly physical environment
  • Assists with the dietary needs of clients
  • Completes all required trainings
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities None

  • Required Qualifications Licensure, Education, & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
  • Current CPR, AED and First Aid, preferred

  • Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors.
  • This position will require local travel.
  • This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation.
  • Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment.
  • Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for experience in behavioral or general healthcare. Candidates should ideally possess current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
