  • Purpose: This hospital based opportunity is casual / PRN opportunity. Excellent compensation, benefit eligible and annual CME stipend. This opportunity will be based on the Mount Carmel East Hospital campus providing coverage to the Perinatal units at East. **They will work 12-24 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Manages the care and treatment of patients as indicated in the professional scope of practice and within current standards and protocols. Develops a comprehensive plan of care with the patient/family consistent with established guidelines Practices within the guidelines of a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician. Initiates and leads performance improvement activities with a focus on achieving top quartile on clinical indicators. Requirements/Qualification Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or specialty field. Graduate of Advanced Practitioner Program. Current License as RN in Ohio. Certified as Advance Practice Nurse in designated specialty. Holds current APRN license from the Ohio Board of Nursing as a midwife. 1-2 years Nurse Midwife experience is required. To be considered, candidates must demonstrate prior performance of at least 20 deliveries in past 24 months. Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Nursing or a specialty field, a current Ohio RN license, and APRN licensure as a midwife. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience and have performed at least 20 deliveries in the past 24 months.
