Bonus: $15,000 two-year commitment

Full Time | Monday-Friday | 1st and 2nd call obligations as well as rotating weekends and holiday call | Flexible with flipping cases for our Neuro department.

How you'll contribute

Provides direct patient care in the surgical setting using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

Documents patient care provided.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Prepares, positions, and transports patients for procedures.

Prepares surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies. Validates proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure.

Assesses and cares for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care.

Operates specialized equipment and maintains a safe environment.

Accounts for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures.

Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process.

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

Education: Associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

Certifications

BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
