Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension.
Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.
Job Summary: As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you will provide general and regional anesthesia services to patients under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist.
The CRNA will also provide preoperative anesthesia services in the Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Center in collaboration with the attending anesthesiologist.
Job Responsibilities: Prepare the anesthesia cart and necessary supplies.
Prepare and check the anesthesia machine prior to procedures.
Requisition, prepare, and label perioperative medications.
Conduct preoperative patient evaluations.
Obtain appropriate intravenous access.
Apply all required patient monitoring equipment.
Document all anesthesia department records in a timely and legible manner.
Document all perioperative pharmacological interventions.
Document all perioperative non-pharmacological interventions and events on the anesthesia record.
Provide patient report to PACU nursing staff following procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room and anesthesia areas.
Notify anesthesia technicians of equipment issues or supply needs.
Maintain accurate counts of all controlled substances used.
Job Requirements: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
