About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Direct Support Professional BHA to join our SPIN Team..

As a Direct Support Professional BHA, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals with behavioral health needs in a compassionate and professional manner.

Your main goal will be to assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life.

You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure that the highest level of care is provided to the people we support.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for helping others.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's license with at least one year of driving experience
  • Must be available to attend the 2.5 week hourly paid-training program during the hours of 8am-5pm

Expectations

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Working experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care and positive behavioral support approaches
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral health needs
  • Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment
  • Ensure that all care is provided in accordance with industry standards and best practices

Skills

As a Direct Support Professional BHA, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with the people we support and their families. You will also use your problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop and implement individualized care plans. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in providing the highest level of care to people we support. Additionally, your experience working in a behavioral health arrangement and with individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders will be invaluable in this role.

Requirements
