Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant II for the Medical Bridge Clinic Department in Jacksonville, Florida. .This is a Full-Time opportunity with rotating weekends.
The Medical Bridge Clinic is an innovative new outpatient concept being introduced to the Baptist Health system and the Jacksonville community.
This adults-only, referral-based clinic is designed to provide timely, scheduled care for patients who visit the ER with non-urgent needs — helping to reduce emergency room volumes and improve access for high-acuity patients.
Key Services Include: Vaccinations, pregnancy testing, stitches and minor procedures, other non-emergent care needs.
Certified Medical Assistant II, Baptist Medical Bridge Clinic Department Job Responsibilities: Provides nursing assistance to physician.
Obtains vital signs.
Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
Responsible for telephone triage and patient education.
Maintains medical documentation.
Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician.
Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas.
Perform limited-scope X-ray imaging under the direct supervision of a physician, in addition to their standard clinical and administrative duties.
