The Boston Medical Center Geriatrics Ambulatory Practice provides Primary Medical Care and Nursing Care Management to adults age 65 and older as well as Comprehensive Geriatrics Assessment and Memory Disorder Assessment as consultative services.
This nursing position is a unique one requiring a variety of specialized nursing skills to effectively to manage the complex medical and psychosocial needs of older adults within an interdisciplinary team.
The registered nurse, adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care.
The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.
The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards of practice.

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas.
$38.05- $75.33
