About the role

Triage incoming patients, assist with emergency treatments, and perform technical tasks like IV placement and blood draws. Provide critical patient care and support client communications and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Triage incoming patients and assist in prioritizing care based on urgency Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories from clients Assist with emergency treatments, diagnostics, and anesthesia monitoring Place and maintain IV catheters Perform proficient blood draws and run in-house laboratory testing Calculate and administer medications accurately Provide post-operative and critical patient care, including monitoring recovery Support a variable and sometimes unpredictable caseload Assist with client communication, scheduling, check-in/out, and phone support as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area

About You 2-3 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant required (ER experience preferred) Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, and drug calculations Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient in emergency situations Compassionate communicator with strong client service skills Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
