About the role

Perform professional cardiac echocardiography procedures for all patient populations serviced by the hospital. Ensure patient safety and comfort while assisting in the coordination of lab activities and meeting ICAL accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

To perform cardiac echocardiography procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by the hospital. Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient. Will assist in the planning, directing and coordinating of activities pertaining to the position. Performs other technical & clerical duties as delegated by the Cardio Director. Performs technical and clerical duties are required to meet Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (ICAL) of Echocardiography requirements for echocardiogram lab accreditation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Prefer (2) two years allied health program or two (2) years of college with biological sciences. Registered with THE AMERICAN REGISTRY OF DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHERS, CARDIOVASCULAR CREDIENTING INTERNATIONAL, or eligible for registry. Minimum Work Experience Five years of experience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) BLS-CPR completion Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Basic computer skills. Required to comply with OSHA regulations for the N95 respirator training and fit testing

Requirements

Requires registration with ARDMS or CCI and a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification along with BLS-CPR. A degree in allied health or biological sciences and five years of experience are preferred.
