Title and rate of pay will be determined based upon individual qualifications, experience, and education. The minimum hourly starting rates for each level are as follows: Care Attendant: $18.19 Nursing Assistant: $18.59 Patient Care Technician: $18.99 Patient Care Technician, Senior: $19.19
Provide advanced patient care under RN direction, including ADLs, procedures, therapies, and patient monitoring Perform all core PCT competencies, including vital signs, point-of-care testing, telemetry, specimen collection, EKGs, bladder scans, dressings, catheter removal, and restraint application per protocol Assist with unit and patient needs (e.g., responding to call lights, meal delivery, patient transport, and monitoring), including transport of cardiac monitored patients Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment while following infection control and safety protocols Monitor patients and report changes in condition or equipment issues promptly Document care accurately and complete clerical functions as needed Support unit operations and quality initiatives, including participation in projects and department activities Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support coordinated care Demonstrate professionalism by building positive relationships, taking ownership of assignments, and supporting team performance and improvement efforts Provide patient and family education under RN direction and respond to emergent situations as appropriate Note: All competencies must be achieved. Requires a high school diploma and either two years of healthcare experience or a combination of a health sciences degree/program and one year of experience. Must possess BLS/CPR certification and pass required criminal and child abuse clearances.
