Resolve complex serological problems for patients requiring transfusion therapy and provide consultation reports to medical staff. Manage rare red blood cell and antisera inventories while ensuring quality control of laboratory reagents and equipment.
This position reports to the Laboratory Operations Manager and the Director of Laboratory Services and/or the Supervisor(s) of the Reference. To assure good customer service and timely performance of testing for our clients and patients, it is necessary for employees to be trained to perform duties in more than one laboratory. Primary
Education: MT/MLS, CLS, BB or SBB required.
2 years blood banking experience in a transfusion center or blood center reference laboratory. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
