Part-time 20 to 24 scheduled hours per week. (This can be flexible schedule)
Provide nursing services to the crisis respite program including but not limited to: Physical assessments, timely documentation, as well as teaching and assisting adults with mental illnesses. On Call for medication questions. Correctly filling out MARS forms on a continual basis and being in constant contact with doctors, pharmacists, caseworkers, etc. with concern to the care of the residents. Maintains Universal Precaution Guidelines and safety measures according to Agency policies and procedures. Keeping track of all doctor’s appointments and follow-ups, including prescriptions, notes, orders, etc. given by a doctor or pharmacist as it pertains to the residents. Assists in the orientation and training of new personnel in medication management to include supervision of self-observation of medication by the residents of their individual medications. Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect. Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents at all times. Handles client health information at a minimum necessary to document data, access and carry out responsibilities of the position, maintains client confidentiality. Working hand in hand with the Behavioral Health Authority on all issues and concerns of the residents. Immediately report all abuse, neglect or exploitation and medication errors to The Wood Group’s Client Rights Officer and facility administrator. Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook. Performs related work as assigned by the administrator.
