What You’ll Be Doing As a CNA at Brendan House, you will assist in the delivery of basic resident care under the guidance and direction of assigned leadership.

Responsibilities include supporting residents with activities of daily living, obtaining and reporting vital signs, documenting care accurately, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

You will communicate with nursing leadership and appropriate team members to help coordinate resident care priorities, report changes in condition, and support daily department operations.

This role also assists with restocking supplies, maintaining equipment cleanliness and safety, and supporting compliance with Medicare and applicable regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Required: Current Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate. Current CPR certification as applicable to assigned area. Must possess an understanding of confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to HIPAA guidelines.

Preferred

Previous work experience in a healthcare setting. Home Health Aide certification preferred or must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire, if applicable to assigned area.

Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to set priorities. Ability to function both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a team-focused environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn other software systems as needed.

Requirements

Must hold a current Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate and CPR certification. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines is required, while previous healthcare experience and Home Health Aide certification are preferred.
