In West Virginia, department secretary roles in healthcare are often tied to ongoing administrative needs in clinics, hospitals, and support departments. These positions can be competitive because employers usually look for both office skills and familiarity with clinical settings, with a high school diploma and prior secretarial or clinical experience commonly required; an associate degree in secretarial science may strengthen an application.
