As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ophthalmology clinics.
Your responsibilities will include:
Patient
Work-Up: Conduct basic patient assessments, including visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and dilation.
Testing and
Evaluation: Perform a range of tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, and versions, and assist in manifest refractions.
Patient
Interaction: Greet patients warmly, explain testing procedures, answer questions, and provide necessary education.
Team
Collaboration: Work closely with our clinical support team and providers to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
Safety and
Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by recognizing and addressing common safety hazards.
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for some college or COA/COT certification. Candidates should have 1-2 years of healthcare experience and proficiency in EMR systems and medical terminology.
