Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with urgent or emergent health problems in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering injections, and documenting care in NextGen.

Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time LPN for our Swansea Internal Medicine Office located at 4 Park Place in Swansea, IL!

Opportunity

  • Full-time opening
  • Monday, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.,
  • Tuesday &
  • Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.,
  • Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and rotating
  • Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Outpatient clinical practice
  • Benefit eligible

Day-to-Day

  • Provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems
  • Utilize your knowledge and basic nursing principles, practices and ethics
  • Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
  • Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
  • Perform phlebotomy and give injections
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
  • Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team

Who We Are

seeking (preferred):

The LPN is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing.

Current State licensure (IL).

CPR Certification.

One of more years of experience in ambulatory care.

PC/Windows proficiency.

Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.

Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

Requirements

Requires a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school, current Illinois state licensure, and CPR certification. Preferred candidates have one or more years of experience in ambulatory care and proficiency with Windows PC.
