Position Summary

We are currently seeking full-time night shift Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to support our patients. As a member of the treatment team, the MHT provides continuous care, supervision, and therapeutic engagement to patients. This role is essential in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment while serving as a positive role model for patients. Mental Health Technician (MHT) Key Responsibilities Include: Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients. Assist patients with activities of daily living and establishing and maintaining good health by using effective, therapeutic communication techniques. Conduct environmental rounds on unit for safety and document observations Facilitate patients’ participation in therapeutic activities and groups. Implement crisis management skills as directed by licensed staff. Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation. Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and one year of related psychiatric patient care experience is preferred. Candidates must successfully complete CPR and Handle With Care certifications.
