Anticipated schedule: Days, Possibility of nights Starting pay range: $32.92 – $46.88/hour, DOE.
A sign-on bonus is available for permanent, full-time hire.
Position Overview: The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) provides high quality, compassionate, and efficient care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions.
The ED RN is responsible for triage, assessment, stabilization, treatment, and evaluation of patients in accordance with hospital policies, evidence based practice, and regulatory standards.
The RN collaborates with the ED Provider to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast paced environment.
Essential
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred, required within six months of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred, required within six months of hire.
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) – preferred, required within six months of hire.
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) – Required within one year of hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required within one year of hire.
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting patients.
May involve exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
May involve emergent situations and high stress.
Must be able to respond rapidly to changing patient conditions and department needs.
