08/07/2026 Total Compensation Estimator Tool Open Competitive Florida Department of Health Bureau of Public Health Laboratories Jacksonville Laboratory This position is a full-time, in-office position Your Specific Responsibilities: This position requires understanding and command of fundamental principles and practices of arithmetic, office procedures, filing practices, medical data entry and essential computer skills. Supports Mycobacteriology Department with maintaining and improving quality control and quality assurance process. Responsible for entry and verification of demographic information in the laboratory computer system. Discrepancies between data on the laboratory requisition form and data that have been entered into the system must be corrected or referred to a supervisor for resolution. Uploads and sorts quality control and quality assurance paperwork in quality management system. Files laboratory request forms and cards generated by the Microscopy laboratory in a timely and accurate manner. Performs other related duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of administrative principles and practices. Knowledge of office procedures and practices. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions. Ability to accurately enter medical data into LIMS system. Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
