The Nurse Technician performs essential patient care activities and nonprofessional services to support patient comfort and needs. They assist nursing staff with daily living activities, vital signs, and treatment preparation under close supervision.

The Nurse Tech provides basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADL)s under close supervision of the nurse.
Basic patient care and ADLs are defined as: patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties that they have verified completion of competencies.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program at the Junior or Senior level with a completed Med/Surg clinical rotation. A BLS certification is required, along with strong communication and medical terminology knowledge.
