About the role

The technologist produces high-quality diagnostic images for vascular, neuroradiology, or surgical areas while assisting physicians during procedures. They are also responsible for preparing procedure rooms, managing patient status communication, and maintaining equipment safety standards.

Bonus Details

  • $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for candidates entering into an Interventional Radiology Technologist position
  • $20,000

  • Bonus for candidates who possess:
  • Possess an advanced certification in the specified modality, and
  • have a minimum of one year of recent experience (within the last 12-24 months) in that modality.

Relocation assistance also available up to $10,000. Details shared upon job offer.

New grads and experienced technologists are both encouraged to apply.

Produces high quality diagnostic images for vascular, neuroradiology, or assigned surgical areas (OR) that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Department.

Acts as a liaison to convey information pertaining to patient status.

Requires competence in a variety of electronic systems, equipment, technologies and supplies.

Prepares procedure rooms, preps patients for procedure, assists physicians in procedure by circulating and scrubbing procedures, operates a variety of interventional equipment and cleans and restocks procedure rooms following procedures.

Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients.

Fosters teamwork through effective communication and personal responsibility.

Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.

Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an associate's degree and be a graduate of an accredited radiography program with ARRT certification. One to two years of experience in General Radiology, IR, or CT is preferred, along with the ability to obtain advanced Vascular-Interventional certification within 18 months.
