A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN) Emergency Room nurses are on the front lines of health care.
Aside from EMS, you are the first face seen in times of need.
Your calm demeanor, excellent nursing skills, quick-thinking, and ultimate dedication to your patients' recovery are exactly what our patients need when facing a health scare.
Throughout your shift, you tirelessly attend to patients of all ages with various medical needs.
You work independently as you provide quality bedside care and execute physician orders.
From complex needs due to trauma or illnesses that require emergency attention to less complex acuity, you always prioritize exceptional care and service.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our emergency room, you love being able to make a direct impact on others!
Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing CPR certification Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS within 6 months of employment Completion of Pediatric Trauma Course (ENPC) within 6 months of employment At least a year of medical/surgical and/or emergency department (ED) experience is preferred, but not required. TNCC certification is a plus!
Candidates must hold a current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and possess CPR certification. Ability to obtain ACLS, PALS, and ENPC certifications within six months of employment is required.
