Market context

Ohio COTA roles often favor home health experience

In Ohio, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant roles are commonly tied to home health and other patient-facing settings, where employers look for a current OTA license and reliable transportation for travel between visits. These positions can be competitive because candidates with one year of occupational therapy experience, especially in home health, may be easier to place and support.
