About the role

The trainee will participate in supervised clinical mammography procedures to develop necessary skills for independent practice. They are responsible for completing educational milestones and obtaining ARRT certification within one year of hire.

The Mammography Technologist Trainee is a structured, entry-level training role designed to prepare a Radiologic Technologist for full certification and independent practice in Mammography.

This position supports the Mammography department through observation, supervised clinical participation, and progressive skill development.

The incumbent will complete required education, supervised clinical experience, and competency milestones in preparation for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography certification.

This role requires completion of all training and successful certification within twelve (12) months of hire.

The Mammography Technologist Trainee works under direct supervision and does not perform independent mammography procedures until required competencies are met.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Other Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program/school Required

Experience General Experience in Radiologic Technology Preferred

Licenses Reg Technologist (R) Required Reg Technologist (R) (M) Within 1 year Required Basic Life Support Preferred

Requirements

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold a current Radiologic Technologist (R) license. Completion of all training and certification requirements within twelve months is mandatory.
