The Laboratory Services Technician performs specimen collection, processing, and laboratory testing while managing workflow and client services. They also provide support to hospital staff regarding specimen handling and perform ECG tracings.
Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Service Technician to join our team.
The Lab Services Technician will provide a wide range of laboratory services including:
Specimen collection.
Client service and reception desk duties, ordering/ scheduling/ billing functions
Laboratory testing.
Phlebotomy, dispatching.
Specimen processing.
Centrifuging, delivery of specimens to appropriate lab/ department.
Assuring proper efficiency and workflow management and ECG tracings.
This position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.
Work schedule: On-Call/Casual, Day Shift
Phlebotomy Certificate strongly recommended.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and healthcare experience including phlebotomy. Completion of a relevant healthcare program and a Phlebotomy Certificate are strongly recommended.
