In New York, MSW social worker roles in geriatric care, long-term care, and aging services are often in steady demand because providers need licensed clinicians who can support older adults and coordinate care. These positions are competitive when candidates already hold NYS Education Department licensure and have direct experience in geriatric, long-term health care, or community-based aging services. Review the posting closely and match your MSW, licensure, and one year of relevant experience to the employer’s setting before applying; this platform’s AI-summarized requirements and benefits help you assess fit faster from the original job description.
