Responsibilities

What You’ll Do Provide excellent health care for our patients. Patients should achieve good outcomes and be happy with their experience of physical therapy. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients to help them recover from injury, manage pain, and restore mobility. Understand their current medical and emotional situations and then develop plans of care. Create measurable, functional goals and adjust plans of care as patients progress. Educate patients on treatment options, home exercises, and strategies to prevent re-injury. Supervise and guide Techs during patient care setup and cleanup. Use evidence-based pain management techniques to improve function. Determine discharge timelines and provide patients with strategies for long-term success. Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharges accurately and on time. Achieve a reasonable level of productivity. This depends on the number of referrals and the type of patient presenting. However, with our normal outpatient orthopedic population, Team expects 60 treatments in a 40 hour work week from a full-time Physical Therapist. Participate in clinic research projects and protocol development. Stay current on best practices through in-house CEUs and continuing education.
