About the role

The speech-language pathologist will perform assessments, treatment planning, and implementation for patients with speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. They will work independently to provide patient-focused care while collaborating with families and the medical team.

The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed. Otherwise, a speech-language pathologist shall work independently without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree conferred from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.

  • Upon hire: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.
  • Neonatal Therapist (CCH acute only): Degree from accredited program.
  • 2 years professional experience.
  • 1 year acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
