and Duties Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer medications, including medications via feeding tube Provide feeding tube care and management Administer injectable medications Perform suctioning as needed Monitor and administer oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments Assist with personal care, including dressing, sponge bathing, and incontinence care Reposition the client regularly to maintain comfort and help prevent skin breakdown Safely perform transfers using a Hoyer lift Observe and respond appropriately to changes in condition, particularly related to a history of stroke and seizure disorders Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care that promotes safety, comfort, and independence in the home
Current South Dakota Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing Experience with feeding tubes, medication administration, and complex medical care preferred Proficiency with Hoyer lift transfers, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer treatments Previous experience caring for individuals with stroke and seizure histories is strongly preferred Excellent clinical judgment, compassion, and the ability to work independently in a home care setting
