Clinical Solutions Pharmacy RMC Hospital Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technician Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join our growing closed-door pharmacy team. This position supports sterile compounding operations, inventory management, quality assurance activities, and daily pharmacy workflow in a fast-paced environment serving infusion and specialty pharmacy patients.

  • AM-5:00 PM Essential Responsibilities Prepare sterile compounded medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Follow USP <797> and USP <800> standards for sterile and hazardous compounding. Maintain aseptic technique and cleanroom procedures. Perform pharmacy calculations and accurately prepare compounded products. Assist with preparation, labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion medications. Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and quality assurance documentation. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving medications and supplies. Support expiration date monitoring and product rotation. Maintain cleanroom equipment and assist with environmental monitoring activities. Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and prescription fulfillment. Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, OSHA standards, and company policies. Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training programs. Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and internal team members. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of sterile compounding principles and aseptic technique. Understanding of USP <797> and USP <800> requirements. Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations related to medication preparation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and technology.

Minimum Qualifications

Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred. Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience. Experience working in a sterile compounding and infusion environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Experience Sterile compounding experience in a home infusion, hospital, oncology, or specialty pharmacy setting. Experience with hazardous drug handling and USP <800> compliance. Experience working in cleanroom environments. Experience with inventory management and pharmacy operations.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license and have at least one year of pharmacy technician experience. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is preferred, along with experience in sterile compounding.
