About the role

The surgical technologist facilitates patient care by assisting physicians during surgical procedures in the operating room. They function as a clinical specialist across multiple service lines and serve as a resource for the surgery department.

Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required Work Experience 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required Licenses and Certifications BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required Business
