The counselor provides comprehensive psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy. They also participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and provide crisis intervention consultation to the clinical team.
Under indirect supervision, provides, oversees, and/or administers a wide range of psychosocial evaluation/assessment, diagnostic, counseling therapy, crisis intervention services in a high-intensity clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making. May be asked to lead, or train lower level counselors, students and/or interns engaged in therapeutic patient care activities, as appropriate to the individual position. Essential
