We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Counselor to join our Lebanon Pines residential program — a long-term treatment program for men with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, set on a beautiful 66-acre campus in Lebanon, CT.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Counselor at Lebanon Pines, you will provide direct clinical services to residents in a long-term, recovery-focused setting — supporting individuals through assessment, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, and discharge planning as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

include:

Orient clients to the program, including program goals, rules of conduct, and client rights upon admission

Ensure insurance authorizations are accounted for in alignment with dates of treatment and services provided

Provide education and information to clients individually and in group settings on substance use disorders and recovery resources

Coordinate case management needs, matching services, agencies, and community resources with clients to assist with discharge planning

Provide crisis intervention services in response to clients experiencing acute emotional or physical distress

Support clients in identifying strengths, challenges, and needs to inform ongoing treatment planning for substance use and/or mental health concerns

Identify client needs that exceed the current level of care and assist with referrals to appropriate support systems and community resources

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to report on client progress and modify established treatment plans as needed

Formulate clinical interventions to promote client stability, engagement, and investment in treatment

Provide counseling for family members or significant others as appropriate

Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including progress notes, referral and contractual networking records, and incident reports

Conduct initial client assessments for placement and ongoing assessments for continued treatment or referral to a more appropriate level of care

Establish individualized treatment plans with clients, incorporating targeted goals, objectives, and interventions that maximize strengths and available resources

Utilize individual, group, and family counseling skills to help clients explore problems, examine attitudes and feelings, consider alternative solutions, and make meaningful decisions

Chart assessment and treatment planning results, writing reports, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client-related documentation in a timely manner

What You'll Need

  • Clinical
  • Licensure: Associate licensure (LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A) or independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LADC) required
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements
