The technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, decontaminating, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment. They must also document quality assurance testing and properly dispose of bio-hazardous waste and medical supplies.

Receives, cleans, sterilizes and stores surgical instruments and equipment.
Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
