About the role

The registered nurse is responsible for providing competent direct patient care in a pre-operative and post-operative setting. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for patients across the lifespan.

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities: General purpose:

Accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.

Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.

Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT positions available- 8, 10-hour shifts primarily days Monday through Friday.

In the pre/post-operative setting, qualified candidates will be responsible for meeting individual patient needs from pre-op to recovery by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care.

Through collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team you will care for patients across the lifespan.

The pre/post-op nurse will have an integral role in delivering high quality, safe, compassionate care to patients throughout their stay.

Strong assessment, teamwork and interpersonal skills required.
