Performs diagnostic X-Ray procedures by positioning patients and adjusting equipment settings to obtain high-quality images. Coordinates scan protocols with radiologists and ensures patient safety before, during, and after examinations.
Envision Imaging is looking to add a part-time X-Ray Technologist to our team! Monday - Friday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM + rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM| Position Pay Range $27.29 - $35.18
Performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts X-Ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. Assists physicians in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.
1.
Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.

Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
3.
Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
4.
Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
5.
Transfers images to other locations as needed.
6.
Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
7.
Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
8.
Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
9.

This position has no supervision responsibilities.
This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Requires graduation from an accredited Registered Technologist program and current ARRT certification in Radiography. Candidates should have at least two years of experience and hold a current CPR certification.
