General Purpose of Job: The Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative duties to support the operations of the entire anesthesia & critical care department, its department manager and it’s providers.

Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines. Performs a variety of staff scheduling tasks with providers and residents which include communication of changes and keeping schedule up to date with various forms of communication. Assists in collecting material needed for appointments, meetings, conferences, telephone calls, etc. Prepares credentialing documentation and attachments. Schedules interviews and prepares documentation for Anesthesia Assistants and any new physician hires. Answers/screens incoming telephone calls and routes call to appropriate individual. Responds to inquiries and requests for services provided by the department’s manager & providers. Opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Manages the scheduling of Anesthesia Conf Room with the entire health system. Adheres to the Driscoll Way. Prepares and submits reimbursements for the physicians. Manages and orders all office supplies and submits service tickets. Maintains departmental filing system. Possess computer skills for using Word, EPIC, Excel, Power Point, Internet, internal and external email. Scheduling Webex and Teams meetings. Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates must possess a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or have three to six months of related experience. Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EPIC is required.
