Rehabilitation Tech - Northwell Health's Danbury Outpatient Summary: To assist clinical staff with patient related activities to provide efficient services to the patient and to optimize productivity.
1. Maintains multiple treatment areas/rooms. 2. Sets up and applies all modalities including patient positioning for therapy. 3. Assists with transfers and gait training. 4. May assist with selected procedures in wound care; utilizes sterile techniques, prepares and cleans equipment. Assists with medical waste disposal per department policy. 5. Measures and reports vital signs of patient to therapist. 6. Meets and greets patients/family members. 7. Stocks and orders supplies. 8. Keeps equipment organized and clean & ensures current inspection duties. 9. Assists with distribution of patient satisfaction surveys. May assist with scheduling and clerical duties as needed. 10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Skills Experience: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT Other Information: Required: Minimum Experience: zero to six months Desired: CPR certification preferred. Bilingual preferred. Working Conditions: Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Some occupational risk Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
