Physical Therapy Aide - Per Diem

The Physical Therapy Aide assists licensed therapists with patient-related activities, including patient transport and preparation of care areas. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, managing therapy supplies, and performing assigned clerical and billing duties.

Philadelphia, PA The therapy aide assists with patient related activities which are predetermined and assigned for each patient by the licensed therapist or licensed therapy assistant.
The aide main duties included but are not limited to: preparation and clean up of patient care areas, maintaining a safe work environment, clerical duties as assigned, billing as assigned, stock of therapy items, transportation of patients and all duties assigned to them by Team Lead, Senior Therapist, Staff Therapist or Therapy Assistant in accordance with PA Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy State Practice acts. PRN Aide may be asked to provide coverage for all inpatient areas (TCU, ARU, Acute care) depending on where needs are the day of their shift.
Education and
Training: HS graduate or equivalent preferred. BCLS certification required
Ability to carry out specific instructions, perform diverse duties. Previous hospital/therapy experience preferred. Availability to provide coverage during weekdays as needed and weekends as per weekend coverage policy. Minimum requirements for this position include two weekend shifts per month and two holidays per year.
