The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Full Scope X-Ray Technologist. The preferred schedule for this position is a consistent part-time schedule with rotating days based on department needs.

The listed wage reflects the entry-level rate for this position. Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, education, and qualifications

Job summary

The Full Scope X-Ray Technologist provides comprehensive diagnostic radiographic services and supports patient care within the Tribal Health Clinic setting. This position is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and accurately documenting and transmitting imaging studies through the electronic health record (EHR) and PACS systems. The technologist collaborates with on-site providers and a contracted radiologist who provides formal interpretation of imaging studies.

Requirements/Minimum qualifications

  • 1.
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (Full Scope).
  • 2.
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • 3.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from an approved provider.
  • 4.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • 5.
  • Knowledge of Radiologic Health Branch compliance regulations.
  • 6.
  • Experience with digital radiography and EHR/PACS systems.
  • 7.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions.

Essential job duties

  • 1.
  • Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including but not limited to chest, extremities, spine, skill/sinus, and abdominal imaging, consistent with Full Scope licensure.
  • 2.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure accurate imagining and a positive patient experience.
  • 3.
  • Operate digital radiography equipment and ensure proper image acquisition and quality.
  • 4.
  • Upload, label, and route imagining orders prior to procedures in accordance with patient safety standards.
  • 5.
  • Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • 6.
  • Evaluate images for quality, positioning, and completeness; repeat studies as necessary.
  • 7.
  • Communicate effectively with providers regarding imagining workflow, urgent findings, or technical limitations.
  • 8.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation within the EHR.
  • 9.
  • Ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly; perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate service/maintenance as needed.
  • 10.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imagining environment in compliance with infection control standards.
  • 11.
  • Adhere to all applicable Federal, State, and Tribal Health policies , including HIPAA, OSHA, and radiologic health regulations.

Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background screening clearance. All employees are required to submit to a Tuberculosis test (TB) test after they are hired in addition to being tested annually.
