About the role

The Registered Nurse will deliver patient care by assessing, planning, and intervening according to the nursing process. They are responsible for maintaining continuity of care and incorporating age-specific safety and infection control measures.

Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal ICU/NICU PRN II Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Mother friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility Work hours: PRN Level II: On an as needed basis (7PM-7AM) – Minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week schedule, 1 Weekend shift per 6-week schedule, and 1 major & 1 minor holiday shift per year; During Training – prefer 2 shifts per week Neonatal ICU/NICU Department highlights: · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Our team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU unit with 16-beds – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, & oscillators and working with Feeders/Growers as well

Here’s What You Need · Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required · BSN is preferred · One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Required · One year of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred. · RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required · NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required · NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required · CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained 90 days What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate degree or Nursing Diploma and have at least one year of Registered Nurse experience. Current RN licensure, BCLS, NRP, and CPI certifications are required.
