About the role

The Certified Nurse Midwife will serve as a primary provider for low- to moderate-risk patients within a hospital setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and specialists. Responsibilities include supporting physiologic births, managing VBACs, and participating in cesarean sections for midwifery patients.

We are seeking a full-time, shift-based, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our dynamic and growing team in the hospital.

Our department includes 15 midwives dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse community within the hospital setting, with a strong emphasis on midwifery-led care and continuity for our patients.

Vancouver Clinic CNMs serve as primary providers for low- to moderate-risk patients while collaborating closely with physician colleagues when higher-acuity care is needed within a collaborative, multidisciplinary group of 20 OB/GYN physicians, 3 Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians, all committed to delivering comprehensive and personalized care.

Our midwives deliver at both local hospitals - PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, where they provide full-scope inpatient care.

Responsibilities include supporting physiologic birth, attending water births, managing VBACs, and participating in cesarean sections for midwifery patients as part of an integrated care team.

This role does not have an outpatient clinical component, though we are also recruiting for a CNM with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

A minimum one year of clinical experience including inpatient care as a midwife is required Full-time is four 12-hour call shifts / week Will also consider part-time for three 12-hour call shifts / week Schedule may include mix of 12- and 24-hour call shifts Broad scope of practice due to our strong relationship with MFM Leadership and teaching opportunities Compensation is a Salary model at $141,226 for full-time.
